A project of sailing across the Mediterranean sea looking for a dialogue between Africa and Europe.
Aim of the project is to combine writers and illustrators from the two shores of the Mediterranean. Through the binding of the journey, we will ask them to live and speak about their difficulties and fears using their own means of expression until the gradually unveiling of himself from the other who, because of the forced on-board living condition, becomes a neighbor.
A unique, quiet and of course clandestine voyage, an integration experience along the places symbol of immigration: 1300 miles, from Sevilla, port of the first massive migrations in the XVI century, to Mazara del Vallo, Sicily, a ill-famed place for its deaths at sea and morgue of the so-called “boats” used for makeshift migrations.
